A senior from my time with the Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer program has just released a film!!
It's a documentary about Fubuki Nakamura, a breaststroke Japanese record holder and leader of the underwater performance group Tritons.

It was his experience teaching swimming to children in Guatemala as a volunteer that inspired him to found Tritons, dedicated to sharing the joy of swimming with young people.
For nearly 30 years, he performed as a front-line performer, and last year, he retired from active performance.
This film is packed with the story of his life and his remarkable character.
It's wonderful to see former teammates making such an impact! ♪
For me as well, my involvement in development support projects for developing countries began with the cooperation volunteer program. While I've continued working with developing countries for about 30 years now, I'm entirely grateful that my current self exists because of those experiences during my volunteer service.
