Our company operates what is known as social business to support developing countries. However, when people hear the word "support," many may associate it with one-way donations or charity.
On the other hand, the world is increasingly focused on "connected support" based on empathy, with crowdfunding being a prime example.
After some research, global consumer trend surveys show that an impressive 85% of people want to purchase from companies that are socially and environmentally responsible*1.
Additionally, there is data showing that 73% of people "choose products based on philosophies they want to support"*2, 60% of people "prioritize 'social impact' when purchasing products"*3, and 64% of people have "experienced being moved to purchase products by a company's social contribution activities"*4.
People in developing countries who need support and supporters from developed countries, including Japan, meet through profiles and stories, and connect through small-scale work——
